Levi the Poet: "Memories"

There is a desperation in Levi's delivery that sticks to you, whether you like it or not.

Lately, this poem has been haunting me, in how it marries direct biblical references and risky creativity and gorgeous word play. If you have never experienced Levi's work, it is not for the "easy listener." It is, however, for the passionate, the daring, and the fervent.
